Lydia Walker, Domestic Violence Trainer and Consultant, presented a training on April 11, 2006 that focused at coordinating community response in the business of recognition, intervention, and investigating child abuse. School personnel, law enforcement officers, social workers, medical staff, mental health counselors, and the ministerial alliance benefited from the conference. The conference was provided free of charge to the attendees.

Most recently at the Kansas Governor's Conference, Ms. Walker is known for her humor and down to earth training style. Ms. Walker presented two of her trainings to approximately 200 people at the Pittsburg Memorial Auditorium. Her trainings included:

Getting a Firm Foundation: Understanding and Intervening In Domestic Violence

Recognizing Injury and Signs of Physical and Sexual Child Abuse
